Hamilton Watches Soar to New Heights in Oshkosh

Hamilton’s Partnership with EAA AirVenture 2014 Brings Excitement Both in the Air and on the Ground

Biel, July 2014 – Hamilton has been timing the skies since 1919, providing pilots with the high-quality, precision-crafted navigation instruments and watches they depend on.

Reinforcing almost a century of proven aviation heritage, Hamilton continues to be present in the aviation world, thanks to its participation in the 2014 EAA AirVenture, which takes place July 28th – August 3rd at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Each year, the week-long event known as “The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration” hosts more than 500,000 Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) members and other aviation enthusiasts who come to enjoy the unmatched roster of daily events including air shows, movies, concerts, forums, workshops, demonstrations and more.

Hamilton is a six-time partner of the EAA AirVenture and the Timekeeping Sponsor of the event. In addition, Hamilton’s ambassador, Nicolas Ivanoff, the famous French aerobatic pilot with nearly 20 years of air show performances under his belt, will perform thrilling stunts at the event in his Hamilton-branded Edge 540 plane.

Hamilton will also be an exhibitor at the event, at Booth #3131 in Exhibit Hangar C, showcasing its innovative line of precision-crafted pilot watches. Attendees will receive a special look at the brand new Khaki X-Wind collection, which was introduced this past spring, as well as the brand new Khaki Pilot Pioneer Aluminium collection and the Khaki Takeoff, which both hit stores in November.

Hamilton and Aviation
Hamilton has been timing the skies since 1919, when the pioneering pilots of the era put their trust in the precision of its watches and navigation instruments. In addition to keeping the first American airmail service on track, Hamilton became the official watch of TWA, Eastern, United and Northwest in the 1930s. Adventure joined accuracy as these instruments demonstrated their unrivalled expertise ‘co-piloting’ expeditions with destinations as challenging as the South Pole, and partnering the first American coast to coast air services which took commercial flying into the modern age. Today Hamilton is Timekeeping Sponsor of a variety of international aviation events such as the EAA AirVenture at Oshkosh, USA, otherwise known as “The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration.” In 2014 it also will be official partner of the unique Free Flight World Masters Tour in France and just served as a partner to the Rome International Airshow.
