LUGARO CELEBRATES NOROOZ WITH RUBY POMEGRANATE PENDANT

This Wednesday, March 21st, Lugaro along with the bursting Vancouver Persian community will be celebrating Norooz and the coming of Spring with Rubies & a Pomegranate

Lugaro Jewellers commemorates the wonderful Iranian holiday with the creation of a unique 18K gold jewellery piece. The pomegranate fruit is believed to symbolize ‘new life‘. Inspired by its symbolic meaning, the pomegranate pendant is designed and created in-house in Lugaro’s West Vancouver studio. The necklace, along with a delicate triple gold chain, is made with your choice of white, yellow or rose gold with rubies and diamonds.  The stunning pomegranate pendant is an iconic symbol for every woman to wear through every coming stage of life.

Commemorating a New Life

In celebrating a new life and new year it is also common for many families to purchase new clothes and clean their home as a symbol of a refreshing new start. They will decorate their homes with iconic symbols for blessings in the new year. On Nowruz eve, many Persian families celebrate with flowers, especially hyacinths and tulips. Other symbolic decors will include birds, butterflies, fish and stars.

A traditional table setting known as Haft Seen is often practised by Persian families on Norooz. It is commemorated by family members circling around the table before the beginning of the New Year, and wait for the vernal equinox. When it arrives, then gifts are exchanged. Lugaro created the unique ruby Pomegranate necklace inspired by this joyful occasion.

The 18K gold ruby pomegranate pendant is available on Lugaro.com as well as our retail stores in Park Royal, Metropolis at Metrotown and Downtown Victoria.

The Lugaro family wishes everyone celebrating Norooz in March a

happy and healthy new year!
